Preliminary Exercise and Evaluation

Within the exercise, the camera shots were even and smooth when the camera followed the person involved in the scene, for example this is seen in the begining as Patrick walks in from the corridoor and opens the door. This is because throughout the exercise, we used a tripod which helped with the steady shooting of the scene.
Overall the framing of the shots was done well, however I would have preffered it if the closeup of the 10 pound note was zoomed in onto, as this would have made the subject of the story even more obvious. The framing of when the camera is a closeup on Sandra is good as we see a closeup then a medium shot, the camera then shifts onto Patrick in a close-up/ over the shoulder shot which gives us an opportunity to see his emotional response.
In regards to the quality of the shooting material, we had several takes of each shot which gave us enough couverage to match the exam directives.
In terms of editing, we used Sony Vegas Pro 11, this enabled us to involve all the shots required for a professional looking video. Overall, there were no disagreements in terms of what was edited where.
In terms of the quality of sound, there were some audio errors such as low levels in some areas resulting in difficulty hearing.
The quality of the positioning and movement of the actors is realistic as both tried their best to match their actions with the meaning of the short clip.
Overall, there was a lot of team effort which resulted in a good short clip.
